Talitha “Tilly” Mark, 73, of Buchanan, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at home with her husband at her side.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Buchanan Christian Church, 112 W. 3rd St., Buchanan, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior, from 10-11 am also at church. Memorial contributions in Tilly’s name may be made to Buchanan Christian Church or Caring Circle Hospice. Tilly was born on March 25, 1950, in Buchanan. She graduated from Buchanan High School, class of 1968. Professionally, Tilly served in the banking and grocery industry in several local businesses. Her path crossed with Roy, the love of her life, during her tenure at Ferris Custom Butchering in Galien. On May 28, 1982, she married Roy Mark, Sr. at Portage Rd. General Baptist Church, formerly General Baptist Church, Buchanan.
A devoted lifetime member at Buchanan Christian Church, Tilly held a deep love for the Lord. Known for her vibrant personality and keen sense of humor, she formed connections easily and was widely appreciated. Some of Tilly’s hobbies included sewing, cooking and particularly baking. Many have had the pleasure of receiving a Zucchini bread loaf from her. Tilly also enjoyed competition and was an avid sports fan.
Above all, Tilly found immense joy in spending time with her family and supporting her grandchildren. Her legacy is marked by her unwavering dedication to both her faith and loved ones.
Tilly is survived by her husband of 41 years, Roy Mark, Sr.; sons, Noel Mark and Nathaniel (Jenny) Mark; stepchildren, Roy Mark, Jr., Beth (Skip) Wieczorek Trent Mark and Troy Mark; grandchildren, Kegan Mark and Addison Mark; siblings, Belinda (Johnnie) Hall, Roxann (Ken) Crum, Michael Lotsbaich, Robert (Debra) Lotsbaich and stepbrother, David (Donna) Medlin. She was preceded in death by her father, John Lotsbaich; mother, Florence (Ferris) Medlin; brother, Ronald Lotsbaich and stepsister, Judy Medlin.
