Alyce M. Scott

Alyce M. Scott, 88, of New Buffalo, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Caretel Inn’s of Lakeland, St. Joseph. A private family burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Three Oaks. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Alyce was born on November 15, 1930 to Henry and Anne (Perkins) Davis in Chicago, IL. She graduated from New Buffalo High School and then went on to Western Michigan University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. On June 17, 1950, Alyce married LaVerne R. Scott in Kalamazoo, MI. She was an Elementary School teacher in New Buffalo Public Schools for over thirty years. Alyce is survived by her son, Robert (Lana) Scott of Mukwonago, Wisconsin; two step grandsons and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anne Davis; husband, LaVerne Scott on April 26, 1983; and sister, Jean Chang of Little Rock, Arkansas on September 28, 2018.
