Lee Charles Lemon

Lee Lemon, 70, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Spectrum Lakeland Hospital- St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Glenn Rosenbaum officiating. Burial to follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Lee was born on August 31, 1948 in Benton Harbor, MI to Leonard & Elsie (Bandurski) Lemon. He was a graduate of Berrien Springs High School class of 1967. Lee then went on to attend LMC and receive his associate’s degree in engineering. On February 20, 1971 he wed Janice Schutze at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glendora. Lee worked as an engineer for Heath Company for 45 years until they closed and most recently for Whirlpool Corporation. Lee was a proud member of the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed outdoor activities, working in his yard and playing euchre. Most of all he loved watching his children grow up, spending time with his family and his dogs. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years Janice; children, Joseph (Jacqui) Lemon of Kalamazoo, Leanne (Julio) Mendez of Macomb and Michael Lemon of St. Joseph; grandchildren Roxanne Mendez, Lincoln & Elliott Lemon. He was preceded in death by his parents.
