George “Pat” P. Krugh, 80, of Stevensville, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Willows Assisted Living.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 2PM, at Zion United Church of Christ, 9100 Third St., Baroda with Pastor Susan Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 5PM until 7PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Pat was born on July 25, 1938, to George & Elsie (Kesterke) Krugh in St. Joseph. He graduated from St. Joseph High School. On March 1, 1958, Pat married Frances “Fran” Horak at St. Peters Church in St. Joseph. He proudly served his country in the Navy, for six years, before he was honorably discharged in 1963. Pat then worked for Whirlpool Corp. as an Assembler before his retirement after 30 years of service.
Pat was an avid Michigan State University fan and was a member of the Berrien County Michigan State University Alumni Association. He was known for being quite the handy man and always helping people. Pat also had a passion for animals, especially his Collie DJ. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.
Pat is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fran Krugh; children Rick (Sarah) Krugh of Laguna Niguel, CA and Jon (Meredith) Krugh of St. Joseph; and grandchildren, Brianna, Lindsey, Matthew, Kendra, Dylan and Josyln.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, George & Elsie Krugh and siblings Eleanor Van Hoeven, Robert Fellner and Jack Krugh.
