John's Obituary
John Hardy, 86, of Union Pier, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Military honors will be given at 3 p.m. by the North Berrien Military Rights Team. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
John was born on November 24, 1931, to Geroge and Esther Hardy in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago. John was a United States Air Force veteran. He married Angie Catledge who survives in Bridgman. John was a dedicated Chicago Police officer from 1956 to 1996 when he retired. He is survived by his wife Angie, of over 50 years; daughters, Valencia (Gary) Royston-Street and Angie (Maurice) Owens and granddaughter, Timika Royston.
