Michael Cantrell Johnson, 28, of Benton Harbor passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018. A Celebration of Life Homegoing Service will be held at 11am on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Second Baptist Church, 600 Donald Adkins Dr., Benton Harbor with Rev. Roy C. Askew Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 10am until the time of service at the church. Michael was born on September 18, 1989, to Ray Doss & Regina Johnson in Benton Harbor. His life was also impacted by father, “pops” John Henry and stepfather, Brian Miller. Michael graduated from Benton Harbor High School. Michael loved dogs, listening to music, and roller skating. He also enjoyed working on cars & motorcycles. He loved going fishing with his granddad. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Michael is survived by his parents, Regina Johnson and Ray Doss; father, “pops” John Henry; stepfather, Brian Miller; children, Keyshawn Johnson, Michael Johnson Jr. and Ameria Mance; siblings, Cortney Johnson, Christapher Johnson, Justin Doss, Dominque Doss, John Henry, Jacorian Davis, Jawan Bates and Jovane Bates Mario Bates and step-siblings, Tracy Miller, Brian J. Miller, Shayla Miller, Tynisha Miller, Kayla Crafton, Nyishia Walker, Angel & Skylesha Miller; grandfather Ray Bender; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael was joined in death by his stepbrother Cortez Miller, Maternal grandmother, Irma Johnson; paternal grandparents, Marie & Burnett Doss and step-grandfather, Fred Pryor.
