Edward Schramm, 63 of St. Joseph, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, at home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Michigan Area 17. Ed was born on February 20, 1954, to Emil and Mary (Zupo) Schramm. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, class of 1972. On September 4, 1976, he married Anna Bock in St. Joseph. He held various positions over the years including, Whirlpool, Hughes Plastics and Cook Nuclear Plant. Ed enjoyed bowling, working on cars, cooking, baking, and barbecuing. He always had time for his family, when anyone needed help. He was very active in Boy Scouts, serving as Scoutmaster for Troop 623, and serving on various committees. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, every weekend they could come to “Camp Grandpa”, and have fun.
Ed is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anna; sons, Edward (Katheryne) Schramm III of Coloma and Michael Schramm of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Tyler Schramm and Emily Schramm; sister, Margaret (Kurt) Schneider; brother, Tom Schramm and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Mary.
