Marie Dolorosa Kendrick

Marie D. Kendrick, 88, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph. A celebration of life service will be held privately with Marie’s family. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to SS John & Bernard Parish. Marie was born February 22, 1929 in St. John’s, Newfoundland’s, Canada to John & Susan (Hayes) Tilley. On February 27, 1960 she wed Franklin “Frank” Kendrick in St. John’s. Marie kept a busy schedule caring for her home and her children. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Benton Harbor. Marie enjoyed people and making new friends, but most of all she loved taking care of her family. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Frank; son William “Bill” (Beth) Kendrick of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Ann (Dave) Tillman of St. Joseph and Patricia “Tricia” (Joe) Carson of Richmond, VA; grandchildren Joe Tillman, Andrea Tillman, Amanda Peets and Jesse Peets; sister Mary Perry of St. John’s, Newfoundland’s and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Ann Marie Maher and brother Edward Tilley.
