When she was two years old her family relocated to St. Joseph. She attended St. Joseph High School, where she graduated with honors. Sue was granted a full ride scholarship to attend the University of Michigan. In 1951, she graduated with a major in Music Theory and a teaching certificate specializing in choral, flute, voice and piano. While attending college, Sue met Richard A. Pollard. In 1957, shortly after graduating, the two were married. Sue continued to teach and helped put her husband through medical school. During that time the two had a son, Richard Thomas. The marriage between Sue and Richard ended in 1961. Then in 1965, Sue met Jerome “Jerry” Warren and on June 4, 1966, the two of them were married. Sue was an avid participant in many of the Twin City Player’s musicals; including, Maria in The Sound of Music, The Mother of Amahl and the Night Visitor’s, Kiss Me Kate among several others. She was also a dedicated member and past president to both Monday Musical and The Southwestern Symphony Orchestra. Sue taught private vocal, piana and flute lessons for many years. She proudly volunteered her time at The Krasl Art Center, the American Red Cross, The Heritage Historical Society, and directing the choir and the youth choir for her church. She was an incredible lady who will be missed dearly by everyone. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jerry; children, Richard, Steven & Lorri and sister, Marilynn (Sheldon) Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Sylvia.
