Rodney William Spears

Rodney W. Spears, 74, of Stevensville, MI passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Friday, September 29th, 2017 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. with a Prayer Service taking place at 7:30 P.M. officiated by Deacon Mike Gallagher at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan or St. Joseph Catholic Church. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1961. Rodney worked in quality control at Bosch for 38 years before retiring. On September 12, 1986, he wed Geraldine Kopicki. Rodney enjoyed watching Lakeshore High School football and watching western movies, especially those that featured John Wayne. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rodney will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rodney is survived by his wife Geraldine Spears; children Scott Spears of South Haven, Steve (Robin) Spears of Muskegon, Sherrie (Ted) Hough of South Haven and Stacey (Scott) Zehm of St. Joseph; step-children Ronald (April) Moschioni Jr. of Florida, Dina (Tom) Buckley of Stevensville, Robert Moschioni of Stevensville and Chris (Debbie) Moschioni of Stevensville; grandchildren, Shaun (Aaron) Pressley, Meagan Spears, Jordan (Mike Jones) Spears, Sadie Rae Boxer, Andrew Zehm, Casey, Brandon, and Eric Moschioni, Brett and Aaron Buckley; great-grandchildren, Nadia, Natalie, and Aidan Bowlby, Taryn Pressley, Logan Pressley, Natalie Jones and sister Janice Henderson of Greenfield, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Jeanne Froberg in 2007; and two grandchildren, Erin Hough in 1994, and Amber Moschioni in 2015.
