Jill M. Spitzer, 65, of Baroda, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 12 PM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville, with Pastor Jonathon Kruschel officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Jill was born on January 20, 1952, in St. Joseph to Charles & Joyce (Smith) Zavoral. For many years, she worked for and retired from Printek as a Production Manager. On October 2, 1993, she married William “Bill” Spitzer in Stevensville. Jill was a proud member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and a volunteer at St. Matthew’s Pregnancy Center in Benton Harbor. She loved to cook for her family & friends and buy them items she found while shopping around at various garage sales. Jill was an incredible lady who would open her door to anyone; as long as they kept her house clean. She will be missed dearly by all.
Jill is survived by her children, Tracy (Steve) Schroeder, Tammy Spitzer, Nila (Tod) Rainey, Brian (Mylissa) Ward, Brad (fiancé, Sarah Nelson) Ward, Dustin Spitzer; grandchildren, Devin, Jordon, Brandon, Will, Griffin, Brianna, Josh, Kalob, Courtney and Katie; great-grandchild, Cadon; siblings, Gary (Pat) Zavoral, Mary (Gary) Cecchi, Alan (Debbie) Zavoral, Joan (Scott) Mosbey and John (Joy) Zavoral; numerous nieces & nephews; and her beloved dog, Oscar. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill.
