Marianne's Obituary

Marianne Pollee, 91, formerly of Stevensville, passed away, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman, where she resided.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Robert Confer officiating. Private burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caring Circle Hospice-formerly Hospice at Home.  Those wishing to sign Marianne’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Marianne was born May 21, 1926 in Marl-Huels, Germany to August & Lina (Kuhlman) Stock. She attended trade school and became a draftswomen, working for several years before she married Waldemar “Wally” Pollee in Marl-Huels, Germany.  They moved to Benton Harbor from Germany in July, 1953.  Marianne was a member of First Church of God in St. Joseph where she was a long time choir member and served on the flower committee.  After retirement, she and Wally enjoyed traveling.  Marianne was a wonderful wife, mother & grandmother.  She devoted herself to her family.  In her free time, Marianne enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting and tending to her flower gardens.  Marianne is survived by her children-Angelika (Jack) Lewis of Chelsea, MI, Dean (MaryAnn) Pollee of Matawan; four grandchildren-Stephanie Fanslau, Samantha Pollee, Mitchell Pollee & Adrianna Pollee; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wally on April 21, 2008, two brothers-Fritz & Erich Stock, and her sister Irmgard Schoell.
