Anne M. Ward

Anne M. Ward, 92, formerly of Eau Claire, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 179 Lucinda Lane, Watervliet, with Fr. John Peter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet.  Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with Liturgical Prayers recited at 7:30 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church-Watervliet, Berrien Co. Anne was born October 19, 1924 in Chicago to Eli & Julia (Lausich) Dejanovich. Her family moved to Southwest Michigan where she met Robert R. Ward.  They were married November 5, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Anne was employed for several years at Whirlpool  before gaining employment as the office manager of the Land Bank in Scottdale.  Anne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet, was an avid reader, and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and baking.  She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  Anne had a very special personality-she was loved by all who knew her. Anne is survived by her daughters-Sandy (Bruce) Walker of Benton Harbor, Julie (John) Kandlstorfer of Cassopolis, MI; six grandchildren-Eric Kandlstorfer, Jason Walker, John (Brittny) Kandlstorfer, Adam (Lori) Walker, Sarah (Bud) Johnson & Joshua Kandlstorfer; twelve great-grandchildren-Cole Cleveland, Nathan McInerney, Alec Cleveland, Ethan Walker, Jolie Walker, Maliyah Kandlstorfer, Lauren Walker, Severyn Kandlstorfer, Aiden Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Logan Johnson & Grace Anne Johnson; and numerous nieces & nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Robert in August, 1995 and four brothers-Eli Jr., John, Nick & Pete Dejanovich.
