Regil Jay Mattson

Regil Jay Mattson, 55, of Watervliet, MI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.  Regil was born on June 19, 1961 in Hinsdale, IL to Harold and Patricia (Doud) Mattson. On March 8, 1981 in Hinsdale, IL he married Kerry Siebold. Regil and his son Justin co-owned and operated Mattson Floor Inc. of St. Joseph, MI.  He was an active member of the Paw Paw SDA church. Regil was well-known and loved and a stranger to no-one. He was especially a loving husband, father and grandfather.  Regil is survived by his wife Kerry; children – Justin (Kaylie) Mattson of St. Joseph, MI, Kassy (David) Mayor of Louisville, KY, Korissa Mattson of Watervliet, MI, Kelsey (Justin) Street of Scotts, MI, Kayli (Cody) VanderWall of Climax, MI and Kerianah Mattson of Watervliet, MI; grandchildren – Camren, Caleb, Stephanie and Alaina; his mother – Patricia Mattson of Hastings, MI; and brothers – Rick (Marge) Mattson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Bryan (Donna) Mattson of Hastings, MI and Terry (Nicole) Mattson of Arcadia, IN.  A Celebration of Life service will take place on Sunday, May 7, 4:00 pm, at The Village SDA Church, 635 St. Joseph Ave., Berrien Springs with Pastors Jim and Ken Micheff officiating.
