Marshal's Obituary

Marshal Wayne Perkey, 73, of Baroda, MI passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Bobby Perkey officiating.  Burial will follow at North Shore Memorial Gardens in Coloma.  Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made in Wayne’s name to the donor’s choice.  Those wishing to sign Wayne’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Wayne was born April 4, 1943 in Cave City, Arkansas to Bernice & Edna (Mathany) Perkey. He was a factory worker at Bosch for many years. On November 22, 1987 he married Susan Bammann in Bridgman, MI.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, coon-hunting and being a member of the National Rifle Association.  He was an avid Cardinals fan and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.  Wayne is survived by his four children Mike Perkey, Tina (John) Foster, Lori (Michael) Muske and Richard (Dorothy) Green; nine grandchildren Melissa Thames, Sara Muske, Jayme (Jerin) DeHaven, Jonathon Foster, Adrian (Samantha) Foster, Justin (Lauren) Sims, Dallas Foster, Derek Sims and Alex Foster; ten great-grandchildren Hailey, Ashley, Riley, Aiden, Aubrey, Elaina, Emalee, Bella, Lillian and Ayden; four siblings Teddy (Dorothy) Perkey, Joe (Clara) Perkey, Morris (Glenda) Perkey and Joyce (Parry) Dupree; and former wife, Christine Long.    Wayne is preceded by his parents and wife Susan Perkey.
