Betty A. Sundberg

Betty Ann Sundberg, 89, of St. Joseph passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph.  Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the funeral home. Betty was born July 17, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Michael & Mary (Conlan) Griffin. She was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and attended DePaul University. On February 4, 1950 she wed Roy Sundberg in Chicago, IL. Betty kept a busy schedule caring for her family and her home. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons Thomas (Galina) Sundberg of St. Joseph, Phillip (Linda) Sundberg of Stevensville and Daughter-in-law Cindy Sundberg of Sylvania, OH; grandchildren Amy Sundberg, Katherine Sundberg, Samantha (Alex) Read and Timothy Sundberg She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Roy on May 15, 1985 and son Daniel. A special thank you to the aides in Bristol House at Caretel, to all the ladies at Hospice, especially Kellee, to Betty’s wonderful caregiver these last two months Kay Hefner.
