Robin K. Winters

Robin K. Winters, 61, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Joseph First United Methodist Church, 2950 Lakeview Ave., St. Joseph with Mr. Daniel Colthorp officiating. Robin was born December 14, 1954 in Ypsilanti, MI to George E. & Virginia R. (Arnold) Bigelow. She was a graduate of Ann Arbor Huron High School in 1973. Robin received her Master’s in Education from Indiana University in South Bend. She taught fifth grade in Cassopolis Schools for five years and then went on to teach third grade in Dowagiac for 28 years before retiring. On October 14, 1995 she wed Tom Winters in St. Joseph. Robin enjoyed sunsets, spending time on Coquina Beach in Anna Maria Island, and flowers. She had a gift when it came to interior decorating and was a talented golfer. Robin had an innate love for her family and loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. Robin is survived by her loving husband Tom Winters, father George Bigelow of Ann Arbor; sons Timothy A. (Syndie) Winters of Norcross, GA and Sean T. (Tresa) Winters of St. Joseph; grandchildren Jeff M. (Jenni) Winters of Dowagiac and Brittany S. (Jeff) Yauchstetter of Stevensville; great grandchildren Ariana Winters, Emma G. and Abbi J. Yauchstetter; brother Larry (Wendy) Bigelow of DuBois, PA; sister Becky(Garry) Bush of Gaitherburg, MD;  and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother May 28, 2007.
