David Skoda

David R. Skoda, 56, of Baroda, MI, passed away, Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his home. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, 11:30am, at the Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00-11:30 A.M. David was born January 25, 1960 in Benton Harbor to William & Ada (Bucher) Skoda. On October 7, 1995 he married the former Tracey Lee Lane in South Haven, MI.  He worked for many years as a steel fabricator at several local businesses.  David enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing as well as spending time at the cottage in Sister Lakes, but what he loved most was his family. David is survived by his loving wife Tracey;  children, Nicholas (Ashley) Skoda of Benton Harbor, Britni (Jacob Radsick) Skoda of Shaker Heights, OH and Amanda (Trent) LaFountain of Coloma; grandchildren Matthew Skoda and Averie LaFountain; mother Ada Skoda and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, William Skoda; and brothers John Skoda, Mike Skoda and Warren Skoda.
