Charles “Paul” Mallonee August 27,1936 – February 27, 2016 Charles Paul Mallonee, 79, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away on February 27, 2016 at Royalton Manor Nursing Home, St Joseph, MI with his loving wife by his side. Paul was born on August 27, 1936 to the late Raymond and Reba Mallonee in Bristol, VA.  He was lovingly raised by his aunt and uncle Hattie and George Graham in Benton Harbor MI.  He graduated from Benton Harbor High School. Paul was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, MI.  He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1955 until 1959.  He was stationed on the USS Leary DDR-879.  He was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post 568 and the Watersmeet American Legion Post 24.  Together, Paul and Marilyn owned and operated West Basin Marine Service in St. Joseph, MI from 1974-1997.  He loved hunting in the UP, and fishing on the St Joe River and Lake Michigan, where he docked his boat at West Basin Marina.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life and he loved spending time with them.  He retired to Watersmeet, MI in the Upper Peninsula in 1995 where he built a cabin and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn (Wichner), daughter Tami (Mike) Genovese, grandchildren Mandi (Gary) Coburn, Megan Genovese, great grandchildren Maya Layton and Drew and Izack Coburn, his siblings June Cannon, Teresa Keeling, Cheryl (Jerry) West and Keith Mallonee.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle Hattie and George Graham and siblings Raymond (Buddy) Mallonee and Linda Baldwin. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., in St. Joseph, MI with Pastor Michael Roth officiating.  Military Rites will be performed by the Stevensville American Legion.  The body will be cremated.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home.  Friends wishing to leave a message of condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  May he rest in peace with his family and friends in Heaven.
