Lynn's Obituary
Lynn Allen Spitzer, 64, of Forest, MS passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Jim Whitman officiating. A private burial will take place at Spring Run Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to visit with the family may do so immediately following the service at the Stevensville American Legion Post 568, 3093 Johnson Rd., Stevensville. Lynn was born on January 30, 1951 to LeRoy & Jeanne (Robards) Spitzer in St. Joseph, MI. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1969. After graduating, Lynn proudly served our country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps for four years during the Vietnam War. During enlistment, Lynn earned the award for Expert Riflemanship and would continue to use that skill throughout his life. He was a passionate hunter and would always come home with the most frogs and squirrels. Lynn also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Lynn is survived by his mother, Jeanne of Stevensville; siblings, Karen (Jim Hindmon) Spitzer of Watervliet, Dale Spitzer of Elkhart, IN and Diane (Louie) Waldrop of Benton Harbor; nieces & nephews, Michelle (Michael) Fletcher, Brad Hurlbutt, Kayla (Justin Bower) Haldy and Ricky Rice; and his faithful Labrador, Ginger.
Lynn was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy; and nephew, Nicholas Rice.
