Patricia Groenendal

Patricia “Pat” A. Groenendal, 72, of Coloma, MI passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center- St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Brad Neese officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grandchildren’s College Funds in care of Sherri Keene. She was a graduate of Carl Sandburg High School in Chicago. On May 23, 1964 she wed Wayne Groenendal in Chicago.  Pat kept a busy schedule caring for her home and her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. In recent years she helped manage her son’s bakery, Broad Street Café in Downtown St. Joseph, there she enjoyed visiting with all her friends and the guests. She is survived by her children Sherri (Arthur) Keene of Eau Claire, Mark (Vikki) Groenendal of Benton Harbor and Sandi (Rick) Croff of Berrien Springs; grandchildren Mark, Christopher, Austin, Derek and Logan; brother Randy Geister of Reddick, IL and sister Valerie (Lee) Littlefield of Arcadia, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband Wayne on May 29, 2014.
