Stanley Charles Shipkosky

Stanley Shipkosky, 90, of St. Joseph passed away on October 10, 2015 at The Willows Assisted Living. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. with Rev. David Colp officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Youth Baseball Association in Memory of grandson Johnny Shipkosky. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. Stanley worked as a machinist at Sandvik Steel for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the VFW in Cleveland, OH. Stanley enjoyed golfing and watching the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes play. He resided at the Willows for 8 years, and he and his family deeply appreciated the care he was given during his time there. He is survived by his children Stanley Shipkosky of Cleveland, OH, Karen (Robert) Bosiacki of Brecksville, OH, Ken Shipkosky of New Orleans, LA and John (Robin) Shipkosky of Benton Harbor; grandchildren Rebecca (Brad) Shipkosky-Pope of Ashville, NC, Robert (Ewa) Bosiacki of Lynbrook, NY, Lisa (Rick) Fuehrer of Elyria, OH, Kelly (Carl) Busse of Avon Lake, OH, Carrie (Braden) Nies Crawford of Centerville, PA and Daniel Hadley of Stevensville, MI; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Louise Novack and Bertha Strozewski both of Cleveland, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Bill, Wanda, Henry, Andy, Charlie, and Walter, grandson Johnny Shipkosky and former wife Viola (Deubel) Shipkosky.
