Steven “Steve” Brink, 59, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Thomas Spitters officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Steve was born June 25, 1956 in St. Joseph to Robert & Roma (Wedlake) Brink. He graduated from St. Joseph High School Class of 1975. Steve served his country in the US Marine Corp. On August 23, 1986, he married the former Cindy Koehler in St. Joseph. He was employed for many years at several area construction companies, and for the last five years by Gast Manufacturing Co. in Benton Harbor. Steve was a member of Friends in Faith Church in Eau Claire. He enjoyed tending to his house and yard, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, cooking, and spending time with his family, especially building Legos with his grandson Noah.
Steve is survived by his wife Cindy; his daughter Angie Wright of Benton Harbor; three grandchildren-Raven & Riley Wright, & Noah Gearhart; three brothers-Bob (Marilyn) Brink of Benton Harbor, George (Linda) Brink of Venice, FL, David Brink of Niles, MI; his sister Ladele (Robert) Snyder of Jackson, CA; two sisters-in-law Sheri (Lance Jeffries) Falcone & Patty (Kevin Birdsall) Monte, both of Benton Harbor; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
