Constance Elaine Rimes

Constance “Connie” E. Rimes, 94, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at Royalton Manor. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday June 3, 2015 at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave., St. Joseph with Pastor Tim Pietrogallo officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the church on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory of Connie online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Constance was born March 7, 1921 in Gary, IN to William & Pearl (Woodley) Lyons. On December 28, 1940 she married the love of her life Harry Rimes in Benton Harbor. They were blessed with 74 wonderful years together. Connie was a member of the Twin City Square group where she would spend much of her time square dancing with her husband. She enjoyed singing, painting, gardening, sewing and making dolls. Connie loved the Lord and to tell His story. She treasured the time she spent with her family and loved taking care of them whenever she could. Connie is survived by her children: Robert (Phyllis) Rimes of Bridgman, Thomas (Kathleen) Rimes of Stevensville and Cheryl (Mark) Ziegert; eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren with one on the way and four great-great grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, son Donald and her great-great grandchild Shilow Marcoux.
