Marjorie (Silas) Carlson, 74, of Waukesha, WI, lost her battle with multiple sclerosis Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Jay Fast of Harbert Community Church officiating. Friends may visit an hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Society of Multiple Sclerosis. Those wishing to leave an online condolence for Marjorie may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Marjorie was born May 2, 1941 in Charlevoix, MI to James and Eva-Mae (Pulsipher) Cooper. Marjorie married Clare L. Silas in 1960. Clare preceded Marjorie in death in July of 1979.  On October 1, 1983 Marjorie married John P. Carlson, Sr. in Harbert, MI. John preceded her in death on December 10, 2009. For many years she was a mortgage loan officer and from 1979 to 1983 she worked as a secretary for Bridgman Elementary School. Marjorie was an avid reader, and enjoyed sports, sailing and canoeing. Whenever possible Marjorie would travel, her favorite places to go were Europe and Mexico. Marjorie is survived by her parents James and Eva-Mae Cooper; children, Eric (Kristine) Silas, Andrew (Connie) Silas, Amy (Jay) Seegert; stepchildren, John (Pam) Carlson Jr., Denise Starks, Richard (Kelley) Carlson, Janet (Robert) Beemer; sisters, Betty (John) Jackson and Mary Cooper; and 14 grandchildren.  Marjorie was preceded in death by her husbands, Clare Silas and John Carlson, Sr.
