Gloria Ann Gunkel

Gloria A. Gunkel, 58, of Stevensville, Michigan, passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel located at 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI with Reverend Chris Spitters officiating.   Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. before the service.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.   Those wishing to sign Gloria’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Gloria was born August 12, 1956 in West Plains, Missouri to Norman and Anna Mae (Tackitt) Childs.  She graduated from Lakeshore High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Information Technologies from the University of Phoenix.  Gloria was employed at Tru Die Cast as a Materials Manager.  She enjoyed building computers and gaming but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, extended family and friends. Gloria is survived by her mother, Anna Mae Childs of Stevensville; her children, James (Sarah) Dickey of Stevensville and Carrielle (Jason) Budd of East Lansing; her grandchildren Avery Budd, Colin Dickey and Noel Dickey; sisters, Pam (John) Black of Baroda, Donna Josslyn of Nashville, TN, Norma Childs of Fort Myers, FL and Patti Hudzinski of Stevensville, MI; brother, Donald Childs of Miami, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Childs.
