Arthur Lee Moyer

Arthur Lee Moyer, 90, passed away December 10, 2014 in Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.  Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremations Services. Arthur was born in Benton Harbor, MI and moved to Leesburg, FL area over 30 years ago from Pine Island, FL. He was a World War II Army Air Corps. Veteran and Piloted B-17 bombers on many dangerous missions during which he twice had to bail out of the aircraft before they crashed. After the war he went on to own and operate a Ford car dealership with his father and eventually became the Road commissioner of St. Joseph County, MI, a post he held until he retired. Arthur will be remembered by those closest to him for his generous heart and thoughtful manner as he interacted with his friends and family. He had a great love of the outdoors. Arthur also enjoyed woodcraft and puzzles, but his passion was GOLF! Arthur is survived by his wife of 15 years Sylvia, daughter: Kathy Sybert of Portage, MI; and Cindy (Robert) Dixon of Osceola, IN and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
