Adallae's Obituary
Adallae Zudora (Miller) Becker Kovalska, 99. is Home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Addie” passed from this life to her eternal life in Heaven at 3:15 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at the Whitcomb Towers in St. Joseph where she had resided the past seven years.
Addie was born July 26, 1915, in Lapeer, MI, the daughter of the late Claude and Carlotta (Seeley) Miller. She married Earl H. Becker June 27, 1936, and together they were blessed with three daughters, Jeanette, Alice, and Virginia. Addie was a full time homemaker, and for many years, a self-employed seamstress. Her joy in life was to serve God, her family and the church. Addie was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of St. Joseph where she served as historian for over 20 years and also on the visitation committee and Women’s Missionary Guild.
Her first husband preceded her in death in August, 1980. She married Rudolph Kovalska Dec. 14, 1985. They enjoyed serving at the church and traveling together. He preceded her in death in June, 2001. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Jeanette (Richard) Huston in July, 2009, and Virginia Fechner, June 29, 2014; and four brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her son-in-law and daughter Charles and Alice Koch of Stevensville; eight grandchildren, Todd (Kelley) Fechner, Chad (Emily) Fechner, Sara (Shane) Logan, Adam Fechner, Natalie Koch Carrera, Charles Koch, Jr. Earl (Lori) Koch and Amy (Koch) Pettinella; 10 great-grandchildren, Claire, Evan, Derek, Tyler, Zavanna, Aaron, Luke, Grace, Lauren and Daniel; and two sisters Marcella (John) Voter and Madeline Cox.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 902 Broad St., St. Joseph. The family will receive friends at a luncheon at the church, following the service. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.
