Frances Provenzano

Frances (Moscardelli) Provenzano, (88), died peacefully at UT Southwestern Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Frances was born on September 26, 1926 in Riverside, MI, to Anthony and Frances (Lomonaco) Bartalone. She married Frank L. Moscardelli in 1946 and raised their three children in Benton Harbor, MI.  Frances worked for Modern Plastics and Bendix Corp.  Frances could be remembered most by her strong faith in our Lord and loved the huge family gatherings and holidays. She was a good natured person, always laughing, and was inseparable with her sister Rose Monte, planning dinners for Sons and Daughters of Italy, church functions at St. Bernard’s of Benton Harbor, MI, or meeting friends for breakfast and luncheons. They were most happy caring for others in need. They always made even the hardest tasks of making the traditional sauce and wine making every year a lot of fun. Because of their love for their family tradition and heritage, we were so proud to be Italian. She is survived by her children, Frank (Marlene) Moscardelli, Stevensville, MI, with children Ryan of Chicago, IL, and Jared of Ann Arbor, MI; Sheri (Benik) Motevosian of Dallas, TX, with children Derik of Orange County, CA, Alex of Dallas, TX, Philip of Dallas, TX; grandson Tony (Carolyn) Moscardelli and daughter in law Judith Moscardelli, both of St. Joseph, MI; granddaughter Beth (Moscardelli) Leming of St. Louis, MO, great-grandchildren Emma of Austin, TX and Grace of Stevensville, MI; Joseph and Nicholas; brother Jim Bartalone of St. Joseph, MI; and sister-in-law Jean (George) Bartalone. She loved all her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Moscardelli (1967), George Pradon (1991),  and Frank Provenzano (2008); a son, Anthony Moscardelli (2013); her sister Rose Monte who died seven days before her, and brothers George and Joseph Bartalone. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 4th at 11:00 A.M. at St Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware St., Benton Harbor, with Fr. William J. Jacobs Jr. Officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Monday, November 3, 2014, with liturgical prayers recited at 7:30 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.
