Jacqueline Dickerson, 84, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at The Willows in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday July 26, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Blair Hayward officiating. Following the service friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In honor of Jacqueline’s request for a happy celebration, the family request casual attire be worn. Jacqueline was born October 11, 1929 in Grosse Point, MI to Earl & Maude (Vollette) Bowman. She graduated from Grosse Point High School. Jacqueline worked as a Billing Clerk for the Detroit-Edison for 30 years and retired in 1992. She moved to St. Joseph in 1996 and was involved with the St. Joseph–Lincoln Senior Center and The Red Hat Ladies. Jacqueline was always on the go and always had a positive attitude. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and swimming.
Jacqueline is survived by her children Robert (Cheryl) Dickerson of Magnolia, TX; daughter Diane (David) Anderson of Bridgman, MI; seven grandchildren John Jay Knecht, Michael Knecht, Kyle Knecht, Selina Dickerson, Brandon Eakins, Chad Eakins and Shane Eakins; and 13 great grandchildren. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Earla Bowman, Mary Virginia McMinn, Geraldine McCloud and twin Pauline Sneddon.
