Robert Fishburn

Robert “Bob” Fishburn, 67, of Allegan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 8, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Bob was born on Labor Day, September 2, 1946 in St Joseph, to Robert H. & Evelyn R. (Hoover) Fishburn. He graduated from St. Joseph High School and immediately joined the work force with Pepsi.  Bob was a sweet, kind hearted man who loved golf and car racing.  He could sock a ball a mile and loved to make “Shades of Blue” and “Tango” roar down the strip at Martin Speedway.  Later he enjoyed the car field further as a Snap On representative.  In his later years he drove buses for the Allegan Public Schools until retirement. Bob is survived by his loving family, including his brother Douglas (Diane) Fishburn, sisters Jeanette (Ken) Achterberg and Sharon (Bryan) Nafrady, friends and especially his nieces and nephews who adored Uncle Bob.
