Patricia Carol Phares

Patricia C. Phares, 72, of St. Joseph, MI, formerly of Kettering, OH passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Patricia was born May 30, 1941 in Fayette County, West Virginia to Samuel & Lydia (Humes) Martin. She wed John Wesley Phares on June 15, 1960 in Lookout W.V. Patricia kept a busy schedule caring for her family and her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a great cook. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Phares of Bridgman; son Wesley Phares of Dallas Tx; grandchildren Benjamin Phares and Meadow Phares; siblings Barbara McCormick of Dayton, OH, Elizabeth Martin of Dayton, OH, Roger Martin of Bellbrook, OH and Linda Woods of lookout West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 42 years John on June 10, 2002; granddaughter Shannon Phares on August 14, 2003 and siblings Ruth Stevens, Nina McCormick and Samuel Martin. Patricia will be laid to rest at David’s Cemetery in Kettering, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hanson Hospice Center.
