Randy W. Collier

Randy Warren Collier, 58, of St. Joseph, Michigan—beloved husband, father, and friend– succumbed to cancer at home with his wife on April 15th. He passed peacefully, thankful for the love, laughs, cards, and visits he received throughout his difficult illness. Randy was preceded in death by his father James in 1989. Randy is survived by his wife Romy of 29 years, daughters Kristin and Kelsey, mother Caroline Doan, brothers Jim (Deb) Collier and Mike (Coreen) Collier, sister Pam (Bob) Olson, in-laws Herbert and Hella Lohrke, brother-in -law Juergen Lohkre, many nieces and nephews, and life-long friends whom he loved like family. Randy worked as a senior product designer at Whirlpool Corporation for the last fourteen years and remained grateful for his coworkers who supported him during his battle with cancer. He was an avid sports fan—making yearly trips to Soldier Field, Wrigley Field, and The Big House—who played baseball for most of his life and coached his daughters’ sports teams growing up. Randy also enjoyed his time bartending with Lake Michigan College and the St. Joseph Kickers Sports Club, the many house-hold projects he undertook, hosting his large family for summer barbeques, and providing support to his coworkers, friends, and anyone in need. Funeral services for Randy will be at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home in St. Joseph on Saturday, April 19 from 12 to 1 PM.  A celebration of his life will follow immediately afterward at St. Joe Kickers Sports Club off of M-139 between St. Joseph and Berrien Springs.
