Toni Adele Jovanovic

Toni Adele (Stefani) Jovanovic, 58, of Hagar Shores, MI passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, surrounded by her loved ones. Toni was born March 18, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Alberto & June Stefani.  She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Chicago, class of ‘72.  On March 26, 1977 she married her best friend, Alex Jovanovic at St. Michael’s in Chicago, IL. Toni worked for Stefani’s Truck Parts in Hagar Shores as a Bookkeeper for thirty years. Currently, she was employed at Lakeland Pineridge, where she was known to be a sweet, strong Italian woman. As a dedicated wife and mother, she was an instrument of peace & understanding. She enjoyed gardening, being a Girl Scout leader, fishing and traveling. She loved entertaining, having a full house, cooking for company and laughing.  Her welcoming smile could light up a room and everyday, every moment, you knew you were loved by her.  She will forever be in the hearts of many. Toni is survived by her husband Alex Jovanovic of Hagar Shores; daughter Amy June (Michael) Faultersack of St. Joseph; son Giovanni (Megan S.) Jovanovic of Grand Rapids; parents Alberto & June Stefani of Hagar Shores; sister Pamela (Bernie) Ortiz of IL; brother Terry (Arline) Stefani of Hartford; nieces & nephews Natalie (Shawn) Rice, Alberto (Amanda) Stefani, Steven Ortiz, Lori Bravo, Andrew Rios, Gabrielle Stefani, Khim Oliver, Angela Gracia, & as a second mom or auntie to many others. Viewing will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service 2650, Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 Delaware, Benton Harbor with Fr. William Jacobs Jr. officiating.
