Nancy Ann Stenger

Nancy Ann Stenger, beloved wife and mother, passed away Friday morning, March 7, 2014, at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  Memorial donations may be made to the Hanson Hospice Center, 4382 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, MI  49127.  Those wishing to sign Nancy’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Nancy was born February 24, 1938 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to George & Anna (Youse) Zeiner.  On April 11, 1959, she married Francis “Pete” Stenger in Allentown.  Nancy and Pete were married nearly 54 years and have resided in St. Joseph for the past 28 years.  Before settling in St. Joseph, they lived in several states including, New York, Georgia, Texas, Illinois and Connecticut.  Making a comfortable and loving home for her family was Nancy’s priority in life and a goal she always achieved. Besides her husband Francis “Pete”, she is survived by three sons-Peter and his wife Jane, Tim and his wife Demrhy, Ted and his partner Michelle Nielsen, and one daughter, Kathy Driscoll, all of the St. Joseph area. Nancy will also be sadly missed by her brother Jeffrey Zeiner of New York City; five grandchildren-James, Diana, Elizabeth and Kathleen Driscoll, Isaac Stenger and a great-grandson Jay Driscoll.
