Amanda A. Kuehn, 87, of Stevensville, MI passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, with Pastor Jeremy Laitinen officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Amanda was born May 30, 1926 in Poland to Leonhard & Augusta Hoffmann On September 20, 1947 she wed Erick Kuehn in Lindintahl, Germany. Amanda and her husband Erick moved to the United States in 1952 where they settled in St. Joseph, MI and began raising their family. Amanda was a homemaker and kept a busy schedule caring for her home and her daughter. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor. She is survived by her daughter Angie (Larry) Wilkerson of Cedar Park, TX; grandchildren Larry (Kim) Wilkerson of Little Rock, AR, Barbara (Todd) Andre, Gene (Susan) Arant and Willard Wilkerson all of Austin, TX; great grandchildren Tabitha, Taylor, Olivia, Sophia and Ford; sisters Lucie (Ernest) Wesner of Stevensville, Erika (Herman) Herbstreit of St. Joseph, and Blondine Werner of Germany and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 57 years Erick on June 20, 2005, and sister Martha Klingspoon.
