Mark P. Broadhead, 45, of Coloma passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his home.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 – 3:00 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. A Celebration of Life Gathering will immediately follow the service, from 4:30 – 6:30 P.M., at The Buck Burgers and Brew at 412 State St. in St. Joseph. Mark was born May 17, 1968 in Evergreen Park, IL to Sandra (Gunaka) Wedgeworth. He was a graduate of Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights, IL in 1986. Mark was a union welder and pipe fitter working for U.A. Local 357 in Schoolcraft for 16 years. He was a devoted union brother to many across the United States. Mark loved everything outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Just this past year he had his best hunting season ever. He was kind, loving and big-hearted, always putting others first. Family was important to Mark, he was a proud loving father, son, brother, partner and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Courtney (Kyle Gorman) Broadhead of Griffith, IN; parents Cecil and Sandra Wedgeworth of Port Richey, FL; brother Trey (Kellie) Wedgeworth of Munster, IN; sisters Kelly Corneiller of Louisville, KY and Michelle Williamson of Port Richey, FL; loving partner and soul mate of Suzanne Heckert and her 3 daughters and mother; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
