Larry's Obituary

Just as the sun rose on October 21, 1968, so did it set on October 8, 2013 for our beloved son and brother, Larry Edris Bledsoe. A Celebration of Home Going will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 26 at Greater Grace Temple, 660 Nickerson Ave., Benton Harbor, with Elder Ray Lee Jones officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Viewing will be held only from 10 until 11:00 A.M. at the church. Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Chemical Bank. Those wishing to sign Larry’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Larry was born to the union of Jerome and Laura Bledsoe of Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was the third child of the Bledsoe children. Larry attended Benton Harbor Area Schools. As a young child he attended church with his mother at the Mount of the Good Shepherd where he was baptized in Jesus Name under the late Pastor Tommye Vaden. While in Arkansas, he attended and was a member of the New Mt. Pleasant Worship Center under the pastorship of Bishop Gregory Brown. Larry is going to be missed by his parents, Jerome and Laura Bledsoe, nine brothers-Jackie Haskins of Tacoma, WA, Donnie (Tanza) Bledsoe, Genard Bledsoe, Shamal Bledsoe all of Benton Harbor, Jeffrey Bledsoe of Topeka, KS, Craig Bledsoe of Little Rock, AK, Jerry Bledsoe of Blythsville, AK, Odell (Liz) Bledsoe & Ray (Jeanette) Bledsoe of Osceola, AK; three sisters-Sabrina Bledsoe of Kalamazoo, MI, Del & Delois Bledsoe of Memphis, TN; a very special friend Adrieann Washington; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also was fond of his cousin Elder Ray Lee Jones.
