Evelyn Ott, 84, of Baroda, MI passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville with Pastor Brett Ehlke officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Building Fund. Evelyn was born February 23, 1929 in Stevensville, MI to Frank & Ida (Vogt) Klackle. She graduates from Stevensville High School in 1947. On February 23, 1948 she married Charles Ott in St. Joseph. Evelyn worked at the Stevensville Post office as a clerk for over 20 years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, traveling, gardening and cooking.
Evelyn is survived by her husband Charles Ott of Baroda; sons Ron Ott of Baroda and Richard (Evelyn) Ott of Meeker, CO; four grandchildren Katie Ott, Tyrone (Amanda) Ott, Amber (Wade) Shultz, and Amy (Oran) Roundberg; six great grandchildren Mackenzie, Makylee, Mckeanon, Eli, Dillon, Kaley; brother Frank Klackle; and many nieces & nephews. Evelyn was precede in death by her parents, son Robert Ott in 1968, three brothers Ray, Joseph, and Bert Klackle and sister Lois Freed.
