Rodney P. Moore, 73, of Stevensville, went to meet his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 5:00 P.M. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Washington Ave. Church of God, 4051 Washington Ave., St. Joseph, with Rev. Andy Hannich officiating. Rodney was born March 29, 1940 in Ionia, Michigan to Raymond & Lucille (Hausman) Moore. He was employed as an Iron Worker with Ironworkers Local #340 of Grand Rapids, working at nuclear plants across the US. He also owned and operated Heaven Sent Tree Service from 2004 until 2011. On September 20, 2003, he married the former Karin Mueller in St. Joseph. Rodney served twenty-six years with the Army National Guard, retiring in 1994, having earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of Washington Ave. Church of God and the Christian Motorcycle Association. In his spare time, Rodney enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing games of all sorts, weightlifting and camping. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted and giving person, always concerned about others, and always sharing his love of his Lord Jesus.
Rodney is survived by his wife Karin; his children-Tracey (Caleb) Beasley of Aztec, NM, Danny (Katie) Moore of Farmington, NM, Steve (Kristy) Mueller of Stevensville, Susan (Dustin) White of Berrien Springs, Anita (Joe) Loomis of Stevensville; seven grandchildren-Hannah, Brooklyn, Felicity, Mitchell, Bryce, Samantha & Joshua; his twin brother Rodger (Lilia) Moore of Belding, MI, his sister Pam (Ed) Vargo of Alamogordo, NM; his mother-in-law Frieda Mueller of Stevensville; brother-in-law Gilbert (Linda) Mueller of St. Joseph, and sister-in-law Karen Mueller of Highland, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry Moore, his brother-in-law Hartwig Mueller and his father-in-law Helmut Mueller.
