Alma's Obituary

Alma Bandurske, 98, of St. Joseph, MI while residing at Caretel Inns of Lakeland went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 7, 2013. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the First Assembly of God, 3084 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastors Dan Miller and Doug Hoyh officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God, Hospice at Home, First Church of God in St. Joseph or Heartland Hospice. Those wishing to share a memory of Alma online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Alma was born November 6, 1914 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta Canada to Henry & Julianna (Probst) Fietz. On November 16, 1935 she married Edward Bandurske in Bainbridge, MI. Alma worked for the Watervliet Paper Company for 41 years and retired in 1980. Alma was a member of the First Assembly of God. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, baking, gardening, church activities and traveling. Alma is survived by her daughter Jean Tvetmarken of St. Joseph; grandchildren Shaun and Sonja Tvetmarken of St. Joseph; brother Walter Fietz of Brooklyn, New York; and many nieces & nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Adolph Fietz, Arthur Fietz, Theodore Fietz, Harry Fietz, Tilly Fietz, Lydia Fietz and Augusta Wittmaier.
