Patricia Gaye “Patty” Lange, 66, of Benton Harbor, daughter of Bud and Frances Piggott, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away the morning of April 4, 2013. Patricia is survived by her five sisters-Lynda Pelkey & Mary Sue Newman both of Berrien Springs, Deborah (Richard) Frain of Bozeman, MT, Laurie (George III) McManus & Kathleen (Christopher) Jannings both of Benton Harbor; husband David Lange; sons Chad (Amber) Lange of St. Joseph, Brad (Melissa) Lange of Otsego; daughter Stacy (Jason Miller) Ely of Kalamazoo; and nine beautiful grandchildren-Claudia & Olivia Ely, Cali & Gracie Miller, Hudson & Maguire Lange, Cameron Mancini, Brennan Lange & a grandchild expected in September. Patty was born September 26, 1946 in Benton Harbor. She worked as a beautician for 42 years of her glorious life, loved animals deeply, had a passion for gardening but above everything else she loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents-Bud & Frances Piggott, her brother-in-law Gregory Pelkey, her nephew Nathanael Pelkey, and her niece Madeline Jannings. Please come celebrate the amazing life of Patricia this Monday evening from 5 – 8 P.M., with the Rosary recited at 7:30 P.M., at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road St. Joseph, MI. Patricia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware, Benton Harbor Tuesday morning at 10 A.M., with Fr. William J. Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of SW Michigan.
