Ronald Williams, 63, of Benton Harbor, MI died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Mission Church, 171 N. Euclid Ave., Benton Harbor, with services beginning at 11 AM. Final resting place will be at Fort Custer Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Mission Church Building Fund. Ronald was born September 5, 1949 in Chicago, IL to the union of the late John Scott and Mary Burns-Williams. Ronald graduated from Benton Harbor High School class of 1968 and was apart of the Vietnam Draft where he served his country as an awarded Marksman in the branch of the United States Army. Ronald was employed at Bosch Braking Systems (Bendix) as a Skills Trade for over 30 years retiring in 1999. After retirement Ronald and his best friend Ed Anderson started a small business Double Crown Electric that provided electrical and plumbing services for small businesses and residences in the city of Benton Harbor.
Ronald married the former Mildred Clemons and from this union three children were nurtured in love.
Ronald is survived by three children; one son, Jerrold (Sonya) Williams of Naperville, IL; two daughters Jennifer Williams of Grand Rapids, MI and Ronnika Williams of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jayston Williams and Schuyler Williams of Naperville, IL; four sisters, Doris (Jimmie) Howard of Benton Harbor, MI, Carolyn (Ronald) Mitchell of Detroit, MI, Renee (Anthony) Davis of Grand Rapids, MI and Jacqueline (Jesse) Williams of Benton Harbor, MI; two brothers, Anthony (Shirley Barnes) Richardson of Benton Harbor, MI and Curtis Williams of Detroit, MI; Special cousin Tina (Larry) Davis of Kalamazoo, MI and special niece Tonya Robinson of Benton Harbor, MI; Countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends that will all have forever memories of Ronald’s infectious love.
Aside from his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by two sisters; Kattie Mae Williams and Betty Lou Miller; two brothers; John Williams Jr. and Lester N. Williams.
