Carl's Obituary

Carl Louis Krause Jr., 91, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, January 11, 2013. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be 11:30 Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Gordon Barry officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to sign Carl’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Carl was born November 21, 1921, to Carl Sr. & Olive (Shin) Krause in St Joseph, MI. He served his country proudly as a soldier in the Army during WWII. Carl was present June 6, 1944 on Omaha Beach and fought all the way to Berlin until the opposition surrendered. On July 26, 1952; he married Imogene (Richardson) Krause in Benton Harbor. Carl enjoyed going to the casino, and will be remembered by his children and wife as a loving father and husband. Carl is survived by his wife, Imogene Krause, of St. Joseph, MI; his two sons, his daughter, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings William (Lavonne) Krause, Donald (Beverly) Krause, Warren (Arvue) Krause. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Fred, Violet, Glady, Olive, and Lillian.
