Jeffery Marc Mattner, 50 of Eau Claire passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 surrounded by loved ones at his home. A Celebration of Life eternal will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday December 29th, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Pastor James Bartz officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eau Claire. Jeffery was born February 5th, 1962 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Richard and Darlene (Koebel) Mattner. After graduating from high school, he attended Michigan State University and was already passionately involved in farming, produce brokering and business. Jeffery was happiest when all the family was gathering at his home because they meant the world to him. His great love for the land and work kept him busy, but not too busy to enjoy arrowhead hunting, fishing and deer hunting. He was very active with the Benton Harbor Fruit Market, where he served as a board member for many years. Jeffery was a man who never took anything for granted and worked hard and enjoyed life. Jeffery is survived by his parent’s; brother Kevin (Sherrie) Mattner of Avondale, AZ; sister Denita (Mattner) Luttrell of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews, Peter (Nancy) Mattner, Kellie (Greg) Pugh, Autumn Mattner, Melanie (Mark) Rettig, Melissa Luttrell, Brianna Pugh, Kayleigh Pugh, Colt Mattner, Luke Rettig, Zack Olsen, Logan Raucci, Lisa Raucci, Rebbecca Mack, Steven Mack and lifetime friend Gina Weaver.
