Norma's Obituary

Norma H. Feeley, 92, of Bridgman, formerly of Traverse City, MI and St. Joseph, MI passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Glen Eagle Retirement Community, 3950 Sumac Dr., Traverse City, MI, 49684. Norma was born December 14, 1919 in Washington, D.C. to Frank & Nan (Cameron) Hastings. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bacteriology. On February 3, 1945, she married Dr. Marshall J. Feeley. Norma was very active in the community and full time homemaker. She was a leader of the “Save Our State” initiative in 1985, member of the St Joseph Yacht Club Women’s Board of Directors, and a member and president of the Women’s Service League. She was an accomplished bridge player and American Contract Bridge League Life Master. She was an equestrian, loved riding, and taught riding locally at Stockbridge Riding Stables. She was a member of the American Mensa Society and enjoyed reading in her spare time. Norma is survived by her son John (Judy) Feeley of St. Joseph, MI; daughter Marsha (Patrick) Ronan of Kentucky; two grandsons Erik and Ryan Feeley of Clarkson, MI. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
