After high school, Peter joined the Navy, became a Seabee and served his country proudly until 1946. While Peter was an entrepreneur at heart, his heart lead him to fall in love with and marry Dorothy Ryan in 1948 in Chicago. He began and started running his own Standard Oil gas stations, a total of seven in all before opening The Undercarriage Shop in Evergreen Park, IL. After selling his shop he worked for Midas and eventually retired from Sears & Roebuck, although he certainly did not sit still. His love for his family, cheering on the grandkids at all their sporting events, taking them boating and teaching them all how to properly become a true sports fan of Notre Dame and the Chicago Bears, was only the start of his affection for them all. Peter always made them know how much they were loved. His involvement with the St. Joe Catholic Church, Coloma Lions Club, Paw Paw Lake Yacht Club, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Sertoma Club Chicago kept Peter busy, but never too busy for his family. Peter was a positive and loving man and we will all miss him. Peter is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; his children, Pat (Tom) Pagliuco of Fountain Hills, AZ; Pete (Fran) Drumm of Mifflinville, PA; Debbie (Jeff) Alberts of New Lennox, IL; Bobbi (Dale) Post of Dowagiac; Dottie (Randy) Forrester of St. Joseph; grandchildren Tony Pagliuco, Mike Alberts, Lowell Andrew Harris, Jr., Jennifer (Dustin) Wagner, Michelle (Dave) Simmons, Brian Post, Chris, Nick and Cody Forrester; great grandchildren Charlotte Harris, Matthew and Julia Simmons, Donovan and Morgan Alberts, Nathan and Baby Wagner. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; brother Terrence Drumm and great grandchild Ethan Wagner.
