Frances `Koehler

In loving memory of our loving wife, mother and grandmother Frances Ellen Jane (Luttrell) Koehler, also known as Janie, who passed away, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. A loving wife to Paul and a great mother to Marilyn Koehler, Mike (Cindy) Koehler, Marjorie (Tom) Marquardt, Mitchell Koehler, Melinda (Barry) Klukas and Mary (Fiancee Rodney Hawkins) Koehler. Loving grandmother to Danny (Angie), Brandie, Chrissy (Josh), Michael, David, Amy, Ariel, Jacob, Jessica and Nicole; special great-grandmother to Danny and Dalton; and loving sister to Rachell Blalock, Harvie, Bennie (Bea), and Leonard (Lurlein) Luttrell and Frances Bishop. Even though Jane had bad eye sight, she didn't let that slow her down, she kept the house very clean, and she loved to cook and can fruits and vegetables from her garden. Working outside was one of her favorite things to do, planting and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Lillies were her favorite flowers, the ones that smelled so fragrant. Her marriage to Paul was great, some bad days but most were good. The bad days were overlooked and she went on with her daily work of keeping the family together. Life will be so different without her, but as she always said, “Life has to go on”. Janie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; and her daughter Marjorie Marquardt on July 2, 1992. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will take place at a later date at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
