David's Obituary
David L. McFall, 79, passed away at his home in Lady Lake, FL., on February 23, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 27th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph, MI with Msgr. Eugene Sears officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI with full military honors. Contributions may be made to Twin City School Fund or Cornerstone Hospice, 1445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778. David was born in Mankato, MN and graduated from the University of IL. He worked for Watervliet Paper Company as Vice President of Sales before founding his company Thelamco, Inc. 32 years ago. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War and was a member of St. Joseph-Benton Harbor Rotary Club. He loved boating both in Michigan and in Florida.
David and his wife Sharon celebrated 51 years of marriage in January. He was a loving father to sons, Brian (Caryn) and Mark of St. Joseph, Todd, (Dawn) of Bridgman, Scott (Linda) of Austin, TX and a daughter Leigh (Don) Bishop of Berrien Springs. He is also survived by a brother William of Naples, FL; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
A sister Grace Ackley preceded him in death and most recently a sister-in-law Kathy McFall has also passed away.
