Dian's Obituary

Dian Kay DeWitt, 53, of Stevensville, passed away September 1, 2010 at her home. A Private Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Lincoln Township Cemetery with Marlo Fritzke officiating. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest MI. Those wishing to sign the memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Dian was born February, 22, 1957 in Dowagiac, MI to James & Doris (Holdeman) DeWitt. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1975 and received her Bachelors degree from Western Michigan University. Not soon after her graduation she was involved in a car accident which caused her to have seizures. Dian loved to walk, many days it would be a seven mile Trek… but everyone in Stevensville would identify her as “the walker”. Dian was a bible student and enjoyed reading the bible. Dian was also an avid University of Michigan Fan looking forward to this Saturday's game, but we all know she will have the best seat in the house. Dian is survived by her mother Doris DeWitt of Stevensville; nieces Tera Fowler of Grand Rapids, Nanda Fowler of Kalamazoo, Rebecca Ades of Vermont and Anika Ades of Vermont; nephew James Ades of Vermont. Dian was preceded in death by her father and two sisters Dawn Fowler and Gail Ades.
